I feel like bits have improved up to the game has regressed
days hours remaining
Can we get some voices in this thread from those who actually enjoyed the game? It's going to wind up being the best selling game in the switch by the end of this year and all the top remarks are just"game is dull". I would rather hear from people who really like Animal Crossing games and listen to how they would want to enhance the series heading forward.
I started playing a few weeks ago and I personally like the goal-oriented structure of the game. I really feel like I can make progress developing my island while I play and I like knowing that I will be rewarded with new instruments and new buildings for doing simple tasks. I also like that the Nookmiles achievement system, though at this stage I am not quite sure what to invest them on besides for clothing.
We can begin improving by making the villagers have more meaningful connections and discussions, they now feel just like setpieces.
Yes this was my number one gripe. I overall like the game (almost 300 hours!) But villagers will hand you a top. Speak to them. They act as if you haven't seen them all day. Wonderful.
I sort of missed the old games (just played a little New Leaf), but watching Jaiden Animations' video on Animal Crossing surely made me enjoy their old personalities more.
Measure 1, and it's a trivial measure, is to significantly lower the weighting of this"I saw you burying bells/hitting rocks/shaking trees/fishing/watering flowers yesterday" dialog. It appears to be the very first thing every villager states every day, which hides all of the actually (semi) particular conversation they have 2 or 3 interactions down.
I enjoy the sport but besides a few changes, I feel that the gameloop has gotten less dynamic. I recall talking to villagers and them do chores and things for them. They give me insistent lines.
I feel like bits have improved up to the game has regressed.
